At a reading for Terri Windling & Ellen Datlow’s new YA anthology, AFTER, last week in NYC, editor Terri Windling made a stirring call to us all to keep introducing younger readers to the endangered short-story format.
SO: As you shop for gifts, consider any of the spate of recent brilliant YA & MG anthos that offer the opportunity for kids to acquire a taste for short fiction.  
Jonathan Strahan’s latest, UNDER MY HAT (containing my “Finnish Witch” story, “The Three-Fold World”), is another good example. Here’s a photo of my author copies.
